The Oral Health Network on Tobacco Prevention and Cessation (OHNTPC) consists of members worldwide who share interests in tobacco prevention and control provided by oral health professionals.

Through e-mails and online discussions located at http://groups.google.com/group/ohntpc, you will be provided with the necessary information for your own professional development.  In turn, we encourage you to share your own experiences with other OHNTPC members.

We encourage you to visit our website from time to time. It will serve as a platform for information exchange and an up-to-date resource on the scientific evidence reported in the literature. Points of emphasis will include:

• effects of tobacco use on oral health,
   

• impact of tobacco use prevention and cessation (TUPAC) in dental practices,
   

• development of TUPAC education for oral health professionals, as well as
   

• announcements of upcoming workshops and conferences.
